Purpose
The Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator operates within the Marketing and Communications Cluster with a key focus on supporting the region's road infrastructure delivery programme. The role has a primary function of developing and implementing integrated internal and external communication and stakeholder engagement programmes, in accordance with the Agency's priorities to effectively position and manage the Regional Communication and Stakeholder Relations function.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist team lead in building positive working relationships with key stakeholder cohorts
- Support team lead with the development and updating of core project materials including key messages, Q&A, response lines, briefings and presentations, tailoring messages to specific audiences, to be used across multiple channels
- Leading and managing the coordination of consultation activities including community information sessions
- Working with the stakeholder engagement teams to determine key issues, how they relate to the relevant communities and what mitigation measures can be implemented to reduce the impacts
- Support the development and successful implementation of communications and stakeholder engagement plan
- Prepare agendas and briefings for stakeholder meetings and produce minutes of meetings ensuring all information is properly recorded on the database
- Providing regular reports on stakeholder relations and community consultation activities and giving advice on emerging consultation issues
- Providing project administration support to ensure good documentation of stakeholder contact to assist with project reporting
- Deliver high quality communications material which demonstrates excellent writing skills, clarity of message and engagement with audiences
- Research, populate and manage database of event and speaking opportunities and prepare recommendations for project team members accordingly
- Provide communications support to assist with the development of key stakeholder and community relationships and assist with competitively positioning the Region
- Qualifications:
- Changing situations in complex project environments.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to schedule work and deliver to tight deadlines
- Should be able to travel
- Must have a driver’s licence

- Qualifications:

- A minimum of 3-5years working experience in a stakeholder engagement role

- Good communication skills- both verbal and written
- Excellent people skills and negotiation techniques
- Understand community structures they will be working in
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with conflict or avoiding potential conflicts
- Ability to work and multi-task under pressure, to timeously deliver services due
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be able to travel
- Must have a driver’s licence
